{"id":286,"date":"2021-12-30T10:31:33","date_gmt":"2021-12-30T09:31:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/collabeer.com\/?p=286"},"modified":"2022-01-04T11:34:52","modified_gmt":"2022-01-04T10:34:52","slug":"how-to-register-a-cisco-mpp-phone-to-the-microsoft-teams-sip-gateway","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/collabeer.com\/?p=286","title":{"rendered":"How to register a Cisco MPP Phone to the Microsoft Teams SIP Gateway"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The following information are based on the actual information on the Microsoft Docs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Source: <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-us\/microsoftteams\/sip-gateway-configure\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-us\/microsoftteams\/sip-gateway-configure<\/a><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a>1&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Provisioning<\/a><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two different ways to configure the provisioning URL onto the phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Either automatically via DHCP Option or manually on the Web-UI of the phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a>1.1&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Automatically through DHCP<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Create a DHCP option 150, 43 or 66 and put in one of the URLs<ul><li>EMEA:&nbsp;http:\/\/emea.ipp.sdg.teams.microsoft.com<\/li><li>Americas:&nbsp;http:\/\/noam.ipp.sdg.teams.microsoft.com<\/li><li>APAC:&nbsp;http:\/\/apac.ipp.sdg.teams.microsoft.com<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>Connect the Phone to the local network. The phone should then get the URL itself.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>If you already have an Option150 configured which you still need, because you\u2019ve also an existing Callmanager environment, you could either use Option66 which is by default configured as the first option to look for on the MPP phones or you can change the options and the sequence on the Web-UI under \u201cProvisioning\u201d:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"814\" height=\"460\" src=\"https:\/\/collabeer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/image.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-287\" srcset=\"https:\/\/collabeer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/image.png 814w, https:\/\/collabeer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/image-300x170.png 300w, https:\/\/collabeer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/image-768x434.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 814px) 100vw, 814px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a>1.2&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Manually on the Phone Web-UI<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Connect the phone to the local network<\/li><li>Open the Web-UI of the phone, change to the \u201cadvanced\u201d mode and go to \u201cProvisioning\u201d<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"904\" height=\"164\" src=\"https:\/\/collabeer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/image-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-288\" srcset=\"https:\/\/collabeer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/image-1.png 904w, https:\/\/collabeer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/image-1-300x54.png 300w, https:\/\/collabeer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/image-1-768x139.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 904px) 100vw, 904px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Put the Provisioning URL into the Profile Rule but make sure, you <strong>keep the \u201c\/$PSN.xml\u201d<\/strong> in the end.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"904\" height=\"252\" src=\"https:\/\/collabeer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/image-2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-289\" srcset=\"https:\/\/collabeer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/image-2.png 904w, https:\/\/collabeer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/image-2-300x84.png 300w, https:\/\/collabeer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/image-2-768x214.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 904px) 100vw, 904px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Here you could also add one of the supported languages into the URL to have the phone in another language than English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Add the \/lang_de between the URL and the \/$PSN.xml. For example, to use the Phone in German use this provisioning URL:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>http:\/\/emea.ipp.sdg.teams.microsoft.com\/lang_de\/$PSN.xml<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the moment, these languages are supported\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>English (default) &#8211;&gt;  en<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spanish <meta charset=\"utf-8\"> &#8211;&gt;<meta charset=\"utf-8\">  es<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Japanese <meta charset=\"utf-8\"> &#8211;&gt;<meta charset=\"utf-8\">  ja<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>German <meta charset=\"utf-8\"> &#8211;&gt;<meta charset=\"utf-8\">  de<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>French <meta charset=\"utf-8\"> &#8211;&gt; <meta charset=\"utf-8\">  fr<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Portuguese <meta charset=\"utf-8\"> &#8211;&gt;<meta charset=\"utf-8\">  pt<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Click \u201cSubmit All Changes\u201d, the phone is then going to update the configuration, connect to the MSFT SIP Gateway. After the Phone is restarted and the MSFT Login is showing up, you\u2019ve successfully configured the phone which is now ready to login.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a>2&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Login into MSFT<\/a><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>After the phone is provisioned for Microsoft Teams, you can start the registration on the phone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Press the Sign In softkey<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"578\" height=\"280\" src=\"https:\/\/collabeer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/image-3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-290\" srcset=\"https:\/\/collabeer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/image-3.png 578w, https:\/\/collabeer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/12\/image-3-300x145.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 578px) 100vw, 578px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>You will then get a Pairing Code, which is time sensitive.
